Bodie Elliott

Who We Are

In her role as an independent consultant, Bodie has been invited to work with dozens of diverse communities, organizations and Nations to develop actionable business plans, strategic plans for economic growth and community well-being, as well as reports and analyses for multiple levels of government across diverse metrics. Examples of this work include Education and Training Employment Plans for Indigenous communities, analysis of policy successes and challenges for ISETS, Comprehensive Community Plan development for Leadership, Education and Growth planning and policies, strategic planning for linking training, education, employment and economic development, and the development of core curriculum for Indigenous entrepreneurship programs and facilitation and other similar projects.

She has cultivated an exceptional ability to build productive relationships, collaborate well with diverse groups, resolve complex issues and gain buy-in from change resistant community members and employees through her unique, heart-centered style of facilitation. She approaches each and every project with passion, cultural humility, and a deep appreciation for cultural values and traditions.

Bodie also has over 10 years’ experience in an entrepreneurial-focused venture capital, private equity holding company, with holdings in a variety of industries across Western Canada, including transportation, aviation, chemical manufacturing, chemical distribution, tourism (fishing/lodging), real estate and construction. This diversity of lenses brings a unique perspective to her work, as she has a deep understanding of life-cycle projects and vertical integration – often integral to success of businesses in small industries and communities.

In a variety of projects including strategic planning development, inventory system development and implementation, charitable contribution planning, operation systemization, technology implementation, executive research projects, change management processes and construction management across a breadth of industries, Bodie has experience modelling best practices for diverse project management. She is proficient at both the launching and administration of small to medium sized projects, including developing methodologies, gaining stakeholder input and approval, and providing administration for projects through to successful, on-time and on budget completion.

Bodie earned her Master of Business Administration, with a specialization in Entrepreneurship from the University of Victoria, and was the recipient of both the Tim Price award for Entrepreneurial Excellence and a place on the Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement.
